Searching within projects

I would like to be able to search within a project. At this point in time, if I have a project open and enter something into the search bar, it opens all results that might have that word or phrase. On some of my larger projects (500+ tasks) I would like to be able to search within the project to find if I have already entered an item, when the due date is and what the status of that item is, without being taken away from that project.

    This is a great idea. We could definitely use this. Our project managers have asked for this repeatedly.

    Agreed. My project managers are complaining that they cannot find the tasks they are looking for without having to scroll and scroll,

    I have many task lines and finding what we are looking for is so cumbersome

    It would be handy to be able to search within a selected project, since they will get quite lengthy and we would not necessarily want to search ALL projects

    As a work-around I created a Note type report. Prompts for Project ID/Name, Status plus Entry Date.

    Hello everyone,


    I wanted to provide an update on this idea. I believe this is something that can be done in the new Workfront experience. I am in contact with Margaret to ensure this is the case, if not, we will go from there. If it is the functionality I'm thinking of then the plan is to mark this item as "Delivered." Thanks.

    The filter option available in the NWE allows for this. Marking as Delivered.
