It would be very helpful if I could format the updates I am posting to make it easier to read. Things like bold text, bullet points or underline would help.

Having rich text features and the ability to paste small images would help us quite a bit in user adoption.

Every tool I use to interact with workfront has this (Email, Zendesk, Idea Exchange, Community Forums), but workfronts own tool doesn't :(

Yes, we would definitely want this!

Inbound email -> Formatted text I'd hope is a part of this but just in case! If you guys do touch the inbound mail parser maybe also deal with attachments, and inline images.

Hi all,

I am happy to let you know that we have planned to implement this feature. Once we are close to delivering something to Preview or demoing I will let you all know so you can provide your feedback. Thanks for all of the great feedback and comments!

Cheers,

Anna Grigoryan

Is the feature going to be rich text in the updates, or in a few places in Workfront? The description and any text field would be super helpful for any team using agile and entering acceptance criteria in the system. I suppose any team non-agile as well. THANK YOU!

Thanks for asking clarifying questions Erin, for now, it is planned just for the updates stream, it would not harm to start another idea exchange post for formatting other areas and upvote it :)

Oh, okay. The updates stream is not as helpful to us. The description field(s) are where we really need this. I am pretty sure Ive already put an Idea Exchange in for this in the agile section.

I'm happy to tell you that we have released the rich text formatting functionality with the 17.3 release. You can now add bold, italics, underline, linking, bullets, and numbering to an update. If you'd like to know more about the feature, you can review the documentation.
