Resource Scheduling > Filter for Available Resources, Portfolio & Project Status

The current resource scheduling tool makes it very hard to see who is available to do the work since all unassigned tasks are at the top, and then people who can work on the tasks are further down. I have to constantly scroll to compare the unassigned task dates and hours to the resource availability/capacity.

It would be great to be able to filter by available resources, or even specific users because I also want to see how close to capacity they may possibly be. If they're close to capacity, I can then see what's on their plate and figure out how to move stuff around if there are clients/projects/deliverables that are higher priority than others.

I would also like to be able to filter by portfolio and project status. Rationale is that we have certain portolios, i.e. out internal portfolio, which is not a high priority and tasks/dates can be pushed when needed.

Hi Jenn - just adding my support for the ability to filter for available resources. The old Team Builder used to be able to do this so I hope it can be added back into the new Scheduling/Working On screens.

One other thing...you mention that you would like to be able to filter by Portfolio and Project Status....you actually can, but unfortunately it only applies to the unscheduled tasks at the top of the screen. I really want to be able to use these portfolio/project/task filters on the already scheduled tasks that you see on the lower part of these screens. Perhaps this is what you mean also?

Hi David - Yes, I would like to be able to apply the filters to the already scheduled tasks as well. Can you tell me how to filter the unscheduled tasks? I seem to be missing that. Thank you!

Hi Jenn - the unscheduled task filter is the section I highlighted in red. The section below that is what you can use to filter the users who display.

Hi everyone,

As we have announced deprecation for Resource Scheduling solution, we merged this idea with the following one: Link

We will continue evaluating and providing updates there.
