Removal of assignee to a task, does not remove them from the project - it should

When working on a project timeline, there are times we may add an assignee either accidentally or the assignee is added then changed. Even when we eliminate/change the assignee name, that person remains on the project and gets email notifications as if they're still assigned. If a person is removed, they should be removed completely, not just pushed to the "Staffing/People" area.

    I came here to post this idea. I just had to manually remove someone from 200+ projects from the people tab because they were considered a project user. At some point they must've been assigned to a task and then the task got reassigned to someone else, but they remain on the people tab so any reports that use the filter project users ID = $$USER.ID is going to pull jobs where they aren't assigned to any tasks anymore. Since a project report can't pull assignment users ID, this is my only option but the users stay on the people tab even if they've been removed from tasks. This is frustrating.
