"Send Dashboard" - Automated emails for Dashboards

We need the ability to send out automated emails with a Dashboard attached. Currently this is only available at the report level, but my team and I have often needed to send out an entire dashboard on a regular bases, and it doesn't make sense to send out each individual report from the dashboard (too many emails). There should be a way to send out automated emails with a Dashboard attached.

    If the report uses wildcards like $$USER.ID, how would that work? It would have to send different report content to each person.

    There are many existing Ideas all for the ability to send dashboards like we can send reports.

    @madalyn_destafney Absolutely, merging them now. I cannot confirm if this is on the roadmap or not, but do agree that this needs some further investigation!

    Request

    Ability for Send Dashboard like we have for Send Report. This includes the ability to schedule Repeating Deliveries.

    Background

    Most of our "reports" are actually dashboards. Our users want to limit the number of reports/documents they have to look at every week and want an information-rich report delivered vs. several reports that provide different dimensions. For this reason, we use dashboards more heavily than reports.

      We do not have immediate plans to address this need. However, we have given this some thought recently in our planning for the new Canvas Dashboards capabilities.

      I would love to see this added, and I'm surprised it isn't already.  I just finished up an executive dashboard for our management.  They would like it emailed to them every other week for accountability.  I know they're going to see this as a key missing feature.

      I don't know how much work they're going to be doing on existing dashboards if they plan to deprecate them in favour of the Canvas.

      We can most definitely see this as an urgent use case for us - especially for our senior leadership team! Please put this on the roadmap!

      We would also like to see this feature added. We are wasting a lot of time with manually exporting reports, formatting them in our emails to  match our dashboard views  and sending them out.

      We plan on providing a dashboard delivery option for the Canvas Dashboard dashboarding capabilities.
