Provide the ability to print a custom form on a Task

We have tried to use Custom Forms on tasks, and transitioned a questionairre/form to a task custom form. As first they seemed to work well, then we found that there is no way to print the form/data. If we put data into Workfront, we need a way to get it back out. Until we can print the data, we have stopped using task custom forms.

Marie,

This is a problem that has plagued us for a year now...thank you for the suggested improvement.

Thank you for the suggested feature. I will transfer this to the product manager of the corresponding area. In the meantime I would suggest creating a task report and include all the necessary custom fields in the view. Then you can print that easily.

Thank you,

Anna Asatryan,

Product Manager at Workfront

Thanks Anna,

I appreciate the suggestion, and we've tried that as an alternative in the past. The problem is the appearance doesn't support our use/need. Having the ability to print the custom form as seen on the screen would be helpful. Thanks for passing this along.

I would expand this idea to be able to print any custom form, be it task-based or project-based. As stated above, creating a report is not user or visually friendly. Often times, the data on the form is text heavy - clients want an exact translation of the custom form as they see it on screen, plus, many want to be able to add their branding to the header/footer. Being able to readily print a custom form is a frequent request from clients.
