Proof Email Notification Default Assignments Vs. Licenses Defaults As Of 9.17.18

Most recently i added new proofer (no free licenses in WF) to a proof (their first proof) and the default email notification was what i had hoped it to be and this fed to the old ProofHQ side as the default. When I train them I add them as “reviewer/approver” and “replies to my comments”‚Äî and this has remained the same on the proofhq side.

However, when i added a new "review licenses holder" inside WF proper first, under the normal flow (people, add new person) the default for emailing a proof went to "disable" (on the proofhq side). --you can change this to your preferred default on the proofhq side and it will remain such going forward. But honestly who can remember to go back and do that every time...

I opened a ticket and here is the response:

i have been doing some testing as well as following up with the team to see if there are any workarounds and it seems like currently there is no way to set the default email notification when the user is created in Workfront. If you instead create them within Workfront Proof you will be able to set their defaults. However, once created in Proof they will be allocated a proofing license. You could then remove their proofing license. You could also add them to a proof (with the default setting you intend them to have) and it should save it from that.

** as i don't want my non-licensees to receive a proofing license in PHQ that i pay for, i opt to add them to a proof (while training first) to get the default to be what i want, then i add them to a "reviewer license" that is free in WF.

I hope this helps anyone else i with this issue. and i hope you upvote to get this tiny glitch fixed.
