As a future release improvement, I think it would be nice to have 6 or possibly 7 project header fields. I wouldn’t want to lose any of the existing 5 fields (project owner, percent complete, planned completion date, status and condition). It would be really beneficial to have project reference number as the 6th header field. Currently, we ask our project owners to add the project reference number in the project title manually. As the 7th field, it would be nice to have the request (“This Resolves”) field.

    I would just like to share my input for a future release improvement:

    1. Add customization to headers for Issues and Tasks (not just Projects)

    2. Expand scope to all custom fields, not just the very limited number of system default fields.

    3. Allow headers to be edited by anyone with Manage access to the object via the object 'Edit' box vs. through the Layout Templates.

    @elenadooley I agree that expanding the scope to all custom fields would be very helpful.

    We would love to be able to include data from a custom field in the header.
