We have the same concern. Despite being advised not to create personal tasks, so of our users are still creating them so we have some work going under the radar for capacity planning. It would be great to be able to customize that area to select the type of tasks that can be created from the button.

It seems based on the votes and comments below this would be a feature we would want the system admin to control since workflows are different for our customers (some like the ability to have their workers add tasks).
I will reach out to our engineering and design teams to determine the effort for this type of change and the affected areas that might be impacted. After review, we will prioritize the effort among our other work and solicit additional customer feedback.
