NEW HOME: Ability to change task status to In Progress

Ideally, it would be great if when you click 'work on it' or charge time to a task, the task status changes to In Progress. https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115001219407-Task-Status-Change-when-using-Work-on-it-Feature

However, since that looks like it's 'not planned', is there a way to be able to change task status on the New Home screen? The ease of being able to click 'work on it' from Home no longer saves time because we still have to enter the task to change the status to 'in progress'.
