Limiting the amount of characters in custom fields

Hello Workfront Users!

We would love to limit the amount of characters in a custom field in Workfront. We have certain fields that link to other systems, where in the other systems there is a requirement to not exceed a certain amount of characters. We cannot think of a good work around at this time!

    I upvoted this, as we would like the option to have a forced number of characters (ex: a 7-digit department number)

    Hi Timothy, this suggestion falls in the general category of "data validation" which is enforcing any kind of rule on an input field. It is currently under consideration, but you can still vote to show your support for it:
