In Charts: Order values within a custom data field

This would be helpful when the custom field contains date values and mitigate the need for us to enter the values by YYYY/MM/DD. Would be great if it sorted correctly based on MM/DD/YYYY.

Yes, I'm surprised that sorting a bar chart by a financial value is not supported already. In the image below the left column is project names (cut off to maintain confidentiality). Would love to be able to show these in order of value.
