Folder Sharing

I want to be able to share a folder in Workfront with users, roles, teams and maybe groups.

I want to be able to do this with both project folders and smart folders.

I just created a Smart Folder called "My Current Documents" which uses the filter OwnerID = $$User.ID - but I'm the only one who can access it!
I also created a folder that's to be used as our COE - but I can't share that either. :-(

It would be such a great thing to restrict access and / or share folders in a project

Upvoted. Linking to objects in Workfront seems to be difficult in general. This would be a great addition.

This would save so many email notifications when a folder has numerous files. To just share the folder would be AWESOME!

I totally agree here. Our creative team often specs multiple files and they would like to be able to send an update that they are ready or share the folder to the project owner.

I agree with all the above. The ability to share folders is a must for knowledge transfer, training etc. I really hope this is a function available soon!

I agree with all the above. I would also like system admins like myself to have the ability to create smart folders for users. It's odd that I can't create them for my department who all have lower access in Workfront than I do.

Thank you for your comments on this idea. We recognize the value of sharing folders and will consider these suggestions in the context of a long term content management plan for the wider platform.

There are not plans to implement folder sharing in the 12-month roadmap.

This is still sorely needed. Hopefully WF will reconsider their stance on this idea soon!
