Field on Task object that includes the total number of Assignments that exist on the task

We would like to have a field on the Task object that includes the total number of Assignments that exist on the task. (i.e. the number of items in the assignments collection.) This would let me highlight tasks in reports / custom reports that have multiple assignments.
