Ability to lock fields and their contents based on different criteria

  • After a value is first entered, field automatically locks so that it can't be modified unless an admin unlocks.
  • Conditional locking, such as a checkbox on a form that can be tied to the field with logic. If checkbox is checked, lock field.

    This would be terrific. I would love to be able to lock a field so that only Admins may modify it. It is sometimes not enough to let "owners" be able to edit, as well (e.g. a Portfolio Owner modifying the Portfolio's name). When you have automation setup that depends upon the Portfolio Name - which, yes, is certainly not ideal - you want to restrict access to as few of users as possible.

    I agree. This would be so helpful. When you provide users access to the project, task or issue. There are some fields that you don't want them to have the ability to change.
