Enable Users to Customize "In-App" Notifications (Like Email Notifications)

Our users' in-app notifications are now so plentiful that they are essentially useless. It would be great if the users were able to turn selected in-app notifications "on" or "off" in their User Settings; ideally, the interface would be modeled on the one that is already in place for customizing Email Notifications.

(Frankly, I was surprised to find that we can only customize the Email Notifications, and not the corresponding in-app ones...)

In my environment, I would not want a user to be able to turn off in-app notifications - as this would cause us more issues.

As a compromise to assist Eric, I suggest that the Admin be provided the ability to allow users to customize in-app notifications. This would allow me to keep them locked & Eric to be able to unlock.

My reasoning: We already provide users the ability to turn off emails and that often causes issues where a user relays that they did not get a notification. As an admin, I investigate & relay that they did not get notified because they turned off the email. I can at least now tell them that you have an in-app notification. I need to be able to tell my PM's & Portfolio Owners that a user was notified.

This is compounded when you through ProofHQ into the mix. I get a notification for every time someone makes a comment on a proof I am on. This also can't be turned OFF. It truly renders notifications USELESS if we can't setup what should and shouldn't be sent as a Notification.

Agreed! Several of our users are part of a Traffic Team which has access to a dashboard to manage incoming client requests. Every member of that team is now getting a notification every time a new request is submitted (which can be around 30/day), flooding their in-app notifications and interfering with actual important personal notifications. There needs to be a way to customize these settings so users are only notified of items that need their attention.

Yes! Any sort of customization would be great (but better at the admin or group admin level).

Just found out I wanted this feature when WF "fixed a glitch" with in-app notifications when a team is sent a request. I don't want my whole team getting notified when a request comes in, but I also don't want the team to be taken off as the default assignee. There should be a way to turn it off, but there is not.

Yes, please! I agree that the customization would be very helpful!

All our users are complaining about this new feature that inundates in-app notifications with non-relevant notificaitons. We really need to be able to customize in-app notifications. Please

We've created a work queue where work is assigned to our team and we go to the new queue and self assign the work. With the latest update in late March our whole team gets an In-App notifications for all twenty two tasks our group is assigned to for each project. So of course my team hates their In-App notifications showing unnecessary items for them to do.

I'd be happy if we could even have a notification option like we do in our personal settings tied to the Team, so then we could disable the notifications for issues like this.

My entire department is getting inundated with in-app notifications for tasks that are not ready to start. It's extremely frustrating to have zero control over this awful "new" feature. WF Support was not helpful in offering a solution or information on plans to fix this in the future.
