Custom Quarters to propagate to Resource Planner

Even though you set custom quarters in settings, they are only used for reporting not other tool functionality. This is quite apparent when you are trying to use the Resource Management capabilities in Workfront. The quarters option only uses standard quarters.

This decreases the usability of this part of Workfront.

In addition, the way that an Admin has to maintain the list of custom quarters seems extremely manual. It would be better for Workfront to calculate what the custom quarters are based on "When does your fiscal calendar begin". If I enter February 1 then all of the quarters should shift accordingly and in turn both the reports and the Resource Planner.

Please fix.

    Love both thoughts in this - the custom quarters starting with one date and the porting of them to other functionality.

    Any chance that custom quarters can be an option in resource planning ? i.e. set the custom quarters at a global level not a project level. Thank you

    Really need an update here to see if this is on the Roadmap. Not being able to set custom quarters (even if we have to do this manually) does not allow us to do quarterly planning at all, which is the main purpose!!!

    Late to this party but adding a plus one here. The current approach to quarter definition is manual and limiting. We should be able to "set and forget" this and it should flow to gantt views and resourcing.

    Not being able to align the resource planner to our fiscal year is also proving to be a problem for us. We attempt to plan quarterly but because the quarters in Workfront don't align with our organization's quarters the planner is not as useful to us as it could be with that one small change.

    This is something we are needing as well. It really limits the usability of the Resource Planner function for us to not be able to see things based on our custom quarters. Definitely a miss from Adobe Workfront to not have this functionality built into the tool.

    Completely agree with this. It would be great if we were not limited to a specific amount of custom quarters - rather change the entire instance system-wide to a standard custom quarters. 

     

    In addition, it would be great to use custom quarters within Gantt charts. Not being able to have custom quarters in these areas leads to confusion from our users.

    I see this is a very old issue, but we are still looking for this same functionality! 

     

    The custom Quarters should be usable in the Resource planner AND be able to set it to "year starts on..." as opposed to manually put in custom quarters every year.
