Custom Email Templates for Event Notification

I would love to be able to apply custom email templates to Event Notifications. Currently custom templates can only be applied to Reminder Notifications.

The ability to add data from custom fields and expand the information available at a glance in an email without having to open a project or request would be invaluable.
