Company - Wide Holidays on Calendars

I was surprised when i realized this is not currently a feature.

It would be great to be able to control the universal calendar as an admin, to be able to easily input across all users the company holidays.

 

Right now the only workaround i've figured is to create a separate holiday calendar and share it with every person?

We created a project with all the company holidays as tasks and have those show on the PTO calendar.  We don't use the time off calendar built in since our PTO requires approvals.

In our setup area under Schedule > Exceptions we've created a Company Holiday calendar to capture those dates in the system. Haven't had any issues with it so far blocking off those dates.

We set our company holidays as exceptions in our company default schedule in Setup > Schedules which automatically blocks these days for all our users.

This is what we have done as well, but unfortunately that doesn't carry over to the timesheets.
