[CLOSED] - Pulling comments on documents through to main update thread on a project

This post has been closed as a duplicate. All votes have been moved to the original: Document Updates

Updates on documents don't get pulled through to the main updates area. We would like to see these automatically feed over so users don't have to be sure to check through all documents for updates separate from the main feed on a project.

This is similar to another idea https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115001890708-Document-Updates

Perhaps they can be merged and votes pooled together.

I wish my vote could count for 100 votes. This would make our lives so much easier! Comments get lost on individual documents.

I recently took on a new role at a different company as their Global Program Manager and I conducted a survey of our users, asking them "What is the one thing that you find frustrating about Workfront?" This was the top issue for over 65% of our users. Users said they have trouble finding the comments on documents again. They remember having the conversation, but are unsure where it took place, so they dig through old emails they got to try and find the comment again. THIS SHOULD BE A TOP PRIORITY ON YOUR PRODUCT ROAD MAP.

Workfront reviewed this issue and they cannot see any notification settings in Workfront that would indicate that an Update would automatically send out an email to a PM if someone comments only on a document. If you were tagged directly or they make a comment and someone comments back, the PM would get the notification. I wanted to submit this to the Idea Exchange to see if they can implement this as part of the next upgrade, because I do believe that PMs should receive any Update on a project no matter where it is coming from within Workfront. Glad the idea is already out there!
