Changing the default UI actions for adding Hyperlinks to Update text

  • Description - Clicking the Hyperlink button in an Update results in a clunky experience that can easily be simplified.
  • Why is this feature important to you - It doesn't seem like much, but whenever a process can be changed to make the UI run smoother, the experience improves - little things can make a big difference.
  • How would you like the feature to work - It would be much better if clicking the Hyperlink button in an Update resulted in opening the Create Link window with an active cursor in an empty URL box.
  • Current Behavior - Currently, when the Create Link window opens, the text the user highlighted to add a link to pre-populates both the URL and Text to display boxes, and there is no active cursor. The user then has to highlight the pre-populated text in the URL box and paste in the URL for the Hyperlink. A fix would make it so the user just clicks the Hyperlink button and command-V pastes the URL.
