Bulk Removal of Resource Managers

Currently it is only possible to add Resource Managers when bulk editing projects.

If you want to remove resource managers (1 or multiple or all resource managers) in bulk, you cannot. You need to manually edit each project which is very time consuming.

Please enable bulk removal of Resource Managers from Projects.

Thanks

I was coming in here to post this idea, glad to see you thought of it, David! :) Currently going through all projects and templates and removing myself from the smaller projects and templates, very tedious!

Hi Jennifer - perhaps find a relevant place to post your comment on the Community to get more visibility of your example....that really does sound like a nightmare!

I believe Workfront are considering removing the Resource Manager role (or changing the way it works) to avoid the complications with the resource tools. From my point of view it would be better to control access to certain resource management tools via access levels and project-level sharing permissions.

Does Anyone know is workfront is going to remove resource manager or have a better way to mass change them? I share the pain of Jennifer. Our company just went through re-org. I don't have 781 projects but there are more than 100 projects. I

This would be extremely helpful! We've had to do this through the API. At our ORG we have well over 1000 active projects at any time.

A logical solution to this would be to allow a group, team, or role to be assigned as resource manager on a project. Then RMs could be managed by group access, removing them from the group would remove them as RM on the projects. This was the idea I was going to post but I will start by adding my 2c here.
