Currently, if an approval is set up for any task/issue/project and the project is in the Planning status, it will not generate an email to the approver. This has become an issue for us because there are multiple approvals needed while our projects are in the planning stage, but the approvers themselves are usually managers/executives that do not regularly use Workfront and therefore are unlikely to see the notification unless it is sent via email. We should be able to change that setting!
