Add Option to Turn Off Proof Comment Notifications

Problem: Currently, if someone comments on a proof, other users on the task will receive a proof comment notification via Workfront and email, if email notifications are turned on. This is very annoying for a user. For example, if 20 comments are left on the proof, the other user will receive 20 emails. The only way to not receive this notification is to turn off updates/comments in the user settings; there is not something directly related to proof comments/updates.

Solution: There should be an ability to turn off notifications or create a daily digest for proof comments in the Workfront notification settings.

I was able to make the emails stop, but we are still getting spammed by ProofHQ comments in the Workfront Notifications. That CAN NOT be turned off, which frankly is a horrible. I got over 85 notifications in less than a 1/2 hr. and that was with just 1 ProofHQ proof (we are still in the testing phase). What will happen once we roll the too out to the entire team and have 40-50 proofs running at once? Who has enough time in the day to scroll through 200 notifications to find the 1 notification they actually have to act upon? At this rate I would have to hire twice the amount of people to get the same amount of work done.

Not really making Work Easy there Workfront. Will you help pay for the extra hours our account team will have to spend deciphering what notifications should be ignored and what needs to be acted on?

This NEEDS to be addressed ASAP.

I agree it makes it very difficult to find the notifications you actually need to address and reply to!

@jennta We are working on a new, native review/approval experience directly within Workfront and notification improvements will be part of that effort. You will see some progress on this the second half of 2024.
