It would be great if we can set colors on the chart reports in report builder. Having different colors for the same field on different reports is causing confusion for the users.
Good news here! We already have an initial design prototype for the chart color customizations and would be happy to receive feedback on it. If interested, you can find my available hours on Calendly and book a call from there for a short discussion and user testing.
As for the timing of the feature rollout, 2018 is an initial estimation, and we hope to deliver some parts of the feature earlier than that.
I think this was touched briefly in a few of the other comments, here's a bit more information about sorting:
We'd like to be able to change the order at which the fields are listed in the chart. It'd be great if you could sort by any field that you wanted, our specific use case is MileStone names, we'd like to sort by MileStone number (Or task number would work in our case) and display the MileStone name.
Ideally it'd be the same mechanism as sorting in the regular report tool.
I have great news here. We've implemented the functionality for customizing chart colors, and it is now available in Preview! Please spend a few minutes playing with it and let us know your feedback.
this is FANTASTIC! Thankyou. Its very easy to pick and choose. My only improvement would be the option to give the colour scheme a name to make it very easy to attach to other reports. I have about 30 reports that will all need the exact same colours added. If there was a "name' for the scheme then I could easily bulk edit. Cheers and thanks so much, even without the shceme name this is going to make a huge impact to our reporting capabilities.
