Add a timer to Timesheets that helps to manually track time spent on a task.

Agreed! I can't believe this is not an out of the box solution with WF. Big limitation in the functionality in my opinion. The 3rd party creator requires a $1300/year subscription for it.

Tyler - that is crazy, I just think its inefficient as well as inaccurate having users try to track their time. I hope this is something workfront considers in the future.

I liked this idea. I've seen Developers at my previous agency use a java clock to track their work time, allocated later to some other tool. I was hoping when a person is assigned something and they click "Work on it" a clock option could appear whereby they track their time, IF TIMESHEETS APPLY TO THEIR ROLE. Another sneaky way Management could track tasks and have better insights, not for billable time, but rather weighing resourcing, is the timing begins behind the scenes and for all "like for like tasks", a report could be generated and thus, analyzed/applied to the needs of resourcing. For my 400 users, this would be excellent, as we are internal and do not bill for our time, but want to see what weighs down the teams the most and focus on those areas.

Thanks for submitting the idea!! :-)

I have voted for that idea! Thank you for sending the link. Our team is using the stopwatch feature on google chrome and considering paying the money as it makes it so easy, but we are really hoping it becomes an included feature. Crossing my fingers!

This would be a good in-app feature. Currently, our content developers track their start time for the day on paper then add the time in Workfront at the end of the day. This feature would make it easy with one click to start a timer at the beginning of the day and another click at the end of the day or whenever they finish a task throughout the day. Hope it gets enough support!
