I would like to have the ability to show the date when the status on a project, task or issue changed

I've been trying to figure out a way to do this for weeks. I'd even settle for a way to manually do this in text mode within a report but haven't been able to find a way to do so. The ability to see the date the status on a project changed would be so helpful when we are looking into projects that have been On Hold for a considerable amount of time and we need to decide to either cancel them or refocus on them.

We would also like to be able to report on the date the Condition changed on a project or task. For a task, we can report on the Condition Note and it's date, but if a user changes the condition without including a note we can't report on that condition date change.

This would come in very handy for us as well. We are consistently moving projects based upon construction timelines and need a way to track when those dates are moved and what they are moved to. These changes affect both our company and vendors we work with.

EVERYONE ON THIS THREAD, YOU SHOULD MOVE YOUR COMMENTS AND VOTES TO A SIMILAR IDEA AT: https://experience.workfront.com/s/idea/0870z000000PSBEAA4/detail. IF WE CAN CONSOLIDATE OUR VOTES TO JUST ONE IDEA, WE CAN GET MORE TRACTION ON THIS.

Agreed! When a status is changed, it gets logged in the Updates with a timestamp, but this data is not accessible for reporting.

I have found the calculated field you can create to capture the timestamp of a status change:

IF(Status='INP',IF(ISBLANK({DE:Status Timestamp Custom Field}),$$NOW,{DE:Status Timestamp Custom Field}),{DE:Status Timestamp Custom Field}).

The problem with this equation is that it uses the $$NOW wildcard, which works great for status changes going forward, but does not work on past status changes. If you open the task after attaching the custom form, the timestamp for the past status change, gets logged as today's date ($$NOW), which is incorrect.

Please provide a way to capture status changes and then for users to retrieve that data for reporting. If you did this, it would be a powerful tool for putting metrics to processes. You can reduce the time of your process if you don't have the data to show where to improve.

yes yes yes we need this! I need to see when tasks or projects are put On Hold and when they are moved to another status. This seems like something that should already be there.
