Ability to Lock Documents

Hi Susan - we use the check out feature for PMs to lock a document from new uploads or deletion. It is nice because there is a big lock symbol that appears next to the document so everyone knows. (You just have to be careful when you move projects from one PM to another because only the person who checked it out and the system admins can check something back in.)

Hi, Anthony. The checkout feature does not lock the document, users are still able to download and make changes. That's what we are trying to prevent. WF Help offered this: They said other customers have requested making a download not possible when a document is checked out. .

For SOX/Audit purposes the ability to lock a document from all future edits is really important. There is a discussion that can be found here which highlights the need for this ability.
