Ability to export or report on updates - system activity

Description - Have the ability to report or export the contents of project system activity

Why is this feature important to you - This is updated by PMs as part of our project status update.  Being able to access and filter the data natively or via an export would allow the PMO to display a complete history of the project statuses in a quick fashion.  This could also be used as an easy way to extract all updates on issues or risks.

How would you like the feature to work - Have the contents of the field be reportable or exportable.

Current Behavior - The functionality does not exist.

I'm also looking for this ability! We have specific task fields set up to track in Updates, but these show in System Activity and not Comments. Specifically, I need to see at what time the field change was requested vs. the time Fusion runs to update a supporting field. These are both captured in System activity on the task but we're currently having to click into each task to see when both actions occur.

Thanks for the support!

I am sure EVERYONE will be able to use this awesome feature - just think how much time you will save being able to have this information at your fingertips when your project sponsor wants an update!!

I am also looking for the same activity. It will be awesome to have this shown in a report. Currently, we are tracking some details in a custom form but that's not ideal.

You can get this information in a journal entry report.  set your filter to journal entry> field name = status, or whatever field you are trying to report on.  You can report old and new values, as well as lots of additional info.

Thanks for the suggestion - I have tried a few different attempts, but I was not able to get the appropriate level of detail.  Can you please share the field name(s) where the detailed update is stored?

Thanks!

You mention tracking the history of the status field for a project (or task, or issue...).
For that I would create a JOURNAL ENTRY REPORT.  In the view, add Journal Entry>field name, Journal Entry>Old Text Value and Journal Entry > New Text Value, as well as Edit by name, entry date.

Filter on Journal Entry>Field Name = status, then also set the SCOPE isBlank if you want only project status changes; otherwise, set the SCOPE = Task or Issue as needed.
