Ability to Control Auto Collapse in Groupings

I see in Preview that auto-collapsed groupings are coming soon. While I understand the need for the feature, not giving the ability to users to choose between auto-collapse and auto-open is very limiting and will negatively impact the dashboards I have set up for our business users. All of our dashboarding is going to have to be re-worked if we're forced to auto-collapse only.

Is there some way to have an option to pick between auto collapsed and not auto collapsed?
