Ability to attach a document to an update

It would be great to be able to attach a document to an update so there is just one step instead of two. Right now, we have to upload the document first and then add an update to it but sometimes you want to include the document in an existing thread and not have to break from it.

This idea is over a year old now, hoping to bring some attention to it again as this would be a great efficiency gain to have this ability. Typing an update and attaching a document or attaching a screen shot would be super helpful.

Came here to bring more attention to this need. I was coming to ask why it isn't possible to just put the little paperclip on updates so we can attach a thumbnail right then and there. Everyone around our group has been asking me about this since we really got into workfront last year.

We just launched workfront two weeks ago and we have the same feedback here.  We would like to be able to attach a document/screengrab to an update.  Really hoping workfront takes all this user feedback and adds the functionality.

Hey  @Heather_Kulbacki , i did not have that turned on! That is DEFINITELY a huge help! Do you know if WF has any plans to one day allow .doc files or ppt files / other file types in updates? Either way, our group is very happy this morning!

the one difficulty we run into is requesters attaching screenshots instead of hi-rez files. Also, the files do not appear in the documents section of the project so that you can organize them into folders. Unfortunately, we have to restrict the usage system wide to keep the offending parties from causing extra work for everyone. Does anyone else experience this or have solutions? I would like to be able to use it for informational files such as instructions or examples.
