Workfront Custom API Module performance vs. native Workfront Modules

Does anyone know if there are any guidelines or documentation on when to use Workfront Custom API modules vs the Workfront Native modules (Create a record, Search, etc.) in terms of performance (execution time, throughput, impact on scenario performance, etc.)?

I typically default to using the Workfront Custom API modules due to familiarity but am curious if there are situations where native modules may perform better than the Custom API ones.

Hi @kenjitomozawa,

I have never done an analysis on this but I did not notice any difference between performance when it comes to, for example editing documents/issues between built in and custom API modules. Though I would still advice for usage of native modules as any possible change in the API structure will be reflected and you will not need to change multiple modules if for example something changes for a specific endpoint.

Hopefully this was helpful, if you need anything else please reach out to me.
