Workflow Gates

Hello! 

 

I'm curious to know how to best use Workfront for gate/approval workflows. We're currently using WF for our internal creative development and system is natively set up to support that type of workflow. I know how approvals work within documents and proofs, but I'm having a hard time visualizing how gates would work. We have an Adobe consultant and will be able to connect with them on this in the near future but in the meantime, wondering if anyone is willing to share screen shots of how they have set up.

We use the built in task approval process for gate reviews.  It works well for us.  We have it tied to the In Progress status.  After approving a gate, the approver is supposed to manually change the status to Complete (we don't have Fusion).

 

We used to have approvals triggered to a status of Complete, but we ended up not liking this.  When viewing the task list, you then couldn't tell what was Complete and waiting for approval vs. what was Complete and approved.

This flow works for us.
