Resource Management: Is there a way to hide unassigned roles on the Resource Planner (View By Project)

Avatar

Level 4

I am using the resource Planner (View by Project) and have applied a filter to exclude unwanted projects. But when I expand the project I see ALL our job roles. How can I filter the resource planner so I only see the roles with assignments.

Current behavior: When I expand the projects all roles are displayed whether or not they are assigned to the project or have planned hours.

  • Project X
    • Role A    5h    9h    9h     2h
    • Role B    0h    0h    0h     0h
    • Role C    0h    0h    0h     0h
    • Role D    0h    0h    0h     0h
    • Role F    5h    5h    5h     5h
    • Role G    0h    0h    0h     0h

Desired behavior: Only show roles that have planned hours.

  • Project X
    • Role A    5h    9h    9h     2h
    • Role F    5h    5h    5h     5h

Hi @Matt_McC,

Following, and very interested, having recently completed a new solution that "collapses" planned hours (and "more") within a selected timeframe (whether days, weeks, months, or years) to either Project, or Project > Role, or Project > Role > User.

Super valuable info to be able to visualize, and a topic I'd be happy to discuss further (particularly the "more") if you're interested via doug.denhoed@atappstore.com.

Regards,

Doug
