Capturing number of deliverables in projects with multiple tactics

Hello brilliant Workfronters! I have a few folks that want to use one project to manage multiple deliverables (flyers, email, etc.). I know that's not best practice but they insist as they don't want to set up multiple projects. There are also some projects that run all year (say, social posts for the year) and users don't want to open a separate project for every single social post.

What is a good way to "capture" all that work via a custom form so I can "count" it in a chart reporting on number of deliverables completed in a period of time? Multiple "project deliverable" form fields? As in Deliverable 1, Deliverable 2, etc.

Hi @ljorr16,

I would add the custom form the to task defining the delivery. Then you can create a task report and filter for task which have a specific custom field which is always presented (you can also hide the field in the Admin Only section).

Based on this you get all task with the represent a delivery and group them as needed for your chart.

Hi @ljorr16. Are they uploading documents to create proofs for all deliverables? If yes, you can count documents/proofs and use that for a report. Otherwise, you can also use a milestone? E.g, each “deliverable” can have a milestone of “deliverable” and you can count how many tasks with that milestone you have in a project and use that as a report perhaps? Or just mark it with a custom form on that deliverable task?

If this solved your issue, please mark it as solved so others can find the solution faster.

Great idea, the consensus seems to be to leverage task forms and create reports from there.

Thanks WF team!
