Changing the Translation Status of Objects

Is there a way to change the Translation Status of objects in AEM Guides?

If we send something out for translation, and the quote is rejected, how can we change the Translation Status of all assets back to either "out of sync" or "missing copy"?

I canceled the Translation Project, but that hasn't changed the status of the objects. Do I just need to wait longer/overnight? Or does canceling the Project not affect the translation status?

Versions:

AEM Guides (UUID) 4.3.1.390 On-Prem Installation (Jan 15 2024)

AEM 6.5.19 (Service Pack 19) On-Prem Installation (Jan 15 2024)

Hi @sschnelbach ,

No, we can not convert a
scoping translation project into another translation project. We will have to resend the content again into a new translation project and clean up the earlier scoping project.

Hi @sschnelbach ,

There are two ways to achieve this:

  1. Reject all the assets inside the translation project: Rejecting the assets present inside the translation job will move the translation status back from In-Progress to the current valid status. Follow below steps:
    1. Turn off Automatically Approve Translations for the project.
    2. Import the non-translated content into the project. Observe that the state of all assets inside the translation jobs moves to Ready for review.
    3. Select all the assets and click on Reject Translation button to reject the translation for all the assets. This will revert the translation status from In-Progress for all these assets.

  2. We recommend creating a Scoping Project for such use cases around cost estimation: Such projects will not have any impact on the translation status or language copies in the first place. Hence, the translation status will remain as it is, and will not move to In-Progress.

Can you "convert" a "new scoping translation project" from scoping to a real translation project? Or do you just resend the content for translation using the "Create a new translation project" selection and delete your scoping translation project?
