Which one to use - AEM LiveCycle Designer or AEM Forms Designer?

Question is - Which one to use - AEM LiveCycle Designer or AEM Forms Designer?

Confusion is due to different setup. Please see screen shots below? Client has AEM Forms 6.5 On Prem OSGi with add-on.

@hrai You need to use AEM 6.5 as this is the version currently supported. However, in terms of designing both are the same. you can just copy the xdp/pdf to the 6.5 and start working on it.

 

With 6.5 any issues related to the product can be reported but with LiveCycle or any unsupported version, product support is not available.

 

In eol matrix you need to just see aem 6.5 matrix that covers designer too. No end of life for this

AEM Forms Designer 6.5 is the latest version, and LiveCycle Designer is an end-of-life product. More information here- https://helpx.adobe.com/in/support/programs/eol-matrix.html 

You can design forms using Forms Designer 6.5 and render the same over the OSGi instance. You can apply the latest Designer patch on top of the base version (screenshot above) to receive the latest fixes - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-release-information/aem-release-updates/forms-updates/aem-forms-releases.html?lang=en

    thanks for taking out time to respond. Please clarify following:

    This page talks about LiveCycle Designer ES4. But it does not talk about AEM Forms Designer?
