Reader Extensions without Flash

Flash is not allowed inside the company, how do I open Reader Extensions without Flash?

Hi Jan,

You would require Flash to open the Reader Extension UI. Another way can be to use the AEM forms workbench and utilise the 'Apply Usage Rights component' to Reader Extend the form.

Now that Flash is no longer available to anyone and been removed, do we still need to use Workbench or is there something else available that I dont know about? We have never used workbench so before I bug our IT dept, I just wanted to make sure. 🙂

There is no OOTB user interface any more. Depending on the version of AEM Forms you use (JEE or OSGi) you would have to program something (like the orchestration shown above or an AEM Forms Workflow in the OSGi version, or some API call, servlet...)
