optgroups for adaptive forms

Hello, I have tried searching and searching but I cannot find any information on optgroups in AEM aside from the JavaDocs for the GuideDropDownList found here. Does anyone know how to implement the optgroups in AEM 6.2 using a GuideDropDownList? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Never mind, I figured it out. This is how you set up optGroups (see screenshot):
