we do have many Adobe Acrobat Pro installations and covered by proper licenses of course.
Since a while we are recognizing more and more Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11 ..Import filter installations. We are aware about that these products are part of the application family of "Adobe Experience Manager". But we do have no AEM instlalations nor do I know how the Adobe LiveCycle Designer versions have been installed. In former days LifeCycle Designer has been part of Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Does somebody know who to license "Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11 ...import filter" installations?
Do we really need AEM licenses or are Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11 installations maybe part of Adobe CC subscriptions?
thank you very much.
Thank you. We do have just the Import Filter part installed, no concreted or separate AEM installation. Do you know how this "...Import filter" installation could be installed? Maybe by another Adobe product?
Can you please explain what this "Import filter" installation is used for? I was not able to find any documentation for the same.
Thats exatly what is also my problem. We found the following products on many of our systems:
Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11 for SAP Solutions
Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11 IFD Import Filter
Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11 InfoPath Import Filter
Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11 PDF Import Filter
Adobe LiveCycle Designer 11 Word Import Filter
Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8 IFD Import Filter
Adobe LiveCycle Designer 9 IFD Import Filter
There is no AEM installed on no system at all.
All these features are already available in AEM Forms Designer, as shown below:

I am sorry but this does not answer my question. Following products are for example installed:
As you can see, there is no Adobe Designer installed. So the question is where doese the LiveCycle Designer come from and why do we have to license them? Acrobat X Pro is clear, a license is needed there, for Reader doesnt.
Yes, LiveCycle Designer used to be bundled within Acrobat earlier, but now it is decommissioned(not supported) and rebranded as AEM Forms Designer, which is available as a separate installer under AEM Forms. You may get a separate License for the same, for which you may contact Adobe sales.
Also, Adobe Reader is now available as Acrobat Reader DC.
Ok, I will contact Adobe Sales for more details. thank you very much for your help. very much appriciated, kind regards Robert
