Form Designer link/button to attachment

Hi,

I need a button/link within a PDF to open an attachment in the current document. I tried this with javascript as described here:

LiveCycle: Link or Button to Open Attachment?

However the PDF that I created is in XFA format and fails to merge via DDX.

* Is it possible to create a button in designer that opens an attachment via javascript, that can be merged with a DDX file? If so how?

* Alternatively can a hyperlink be used to link to an attachment in the same pdf?

From a button you want to open a PDF that's been attached to a Form?  You may run into security issues trying to add the hyperlink but I can validate if that's your preferred method
