Process for Publishing Assets to Brand Portal

Avatar

Level 2

We are using the Workfront to AEM Assets OOTB automation for publishing assets from Workfront to Assets. We are now setting up our Brand Portal and will need to publish some assets from Assets to Brand Portal.

How are you streamlining the Brand Portal upload process? Are someone manually publishing the asset to Brand Portal after the asset is published to Assets? Do you have any automation in place?

Would love to hear ideas on how to minimize manual effort.

@Natalie_Shanks_OneAmerica Since you're using the out-of-the-box (OOTB) automation for publishing assets from Workfront to AEM Assets, you have the first part of the integration already in place. This ensures that assets created and managed in Workfront are automatically pushed to AEM Assets.

To publish assets from AEM Assets to Brand Portal, follow these steps:

  1. Install and Configure Brand Portal:

    • Ensure that Brand Portal is correctly installed and configured within your AEM instance.
    • Set up Brand Portal configurations in AEM by navigating to Tools > Cloud Services > Legacy Cloud Services > Brand Portal Configuration. Add a new configuration if one does not exist.
  2. Configure Publishing Workflows:

    • In AEM, create or modify existing workflows to include a step for publishing assets to Brand Portal. Navigate to Tools > Workflow > Models, and either create a new model or edit an existing one to include the Brand Portal publish step.
  3. Asset Folder Configuration:

    • Designate specific folders in AEM Assets that need to be published to Brand Portal. Go to the folder properties and enable the "Sync to Brand Portal" option. This will ensure that all assets within this folder are considered for synchronization.
  4. Sync Assets to Brand Portal:

    • AEM will handle the synchronization process automatically once the assets are placed in the designated folders and the appropriate workflows are triggered.

Hope this helps.

Hello @diksha_mishra - I came across this post and I'm interested in learning more. We currently have our brand portal instance configured and follow a manual process for publishing assets to the brand portal system whenever they are ready for publish in AEM (steps are duplicated: quick publish > AEM and again, quick publish > Brand Portal). I've looked at my folder properties and don't see any "Sync to brand portal" option - where should this theoretically be appearing, and are there limitations of when this is available to apply to folder properties?
