Drag and drop a folder to AEM DAM

Question

Hi,
As per my knowledge, AEM DAM doesn't allow drag and drop of folders into DAM. But there are people who claim that it is possible with AEM vanilla instance but it never worked for me. My questions for this groups are-
1. Is it possible to drag and drop a folder to AEM DAM 6.5?
2. Was it ever supported in previous AEM versions?

What is supported you can archive folder and drag and drop zip archive to AEM and unpack it automatically. AFAIK You can drag an drop a folder possible using AEM Desktop app not via direct UI.  The only other way is to run an asset import using excel sheets with path to asset / folder I guess.
