DAM Folder - Download Restriction

Hi ,

We are using Adobe Experience Manager Assets Brand Portal.

Can we apply download restrictions to original file for a particular folder in DAM.

Scenario :
When images are watermarked using profiles,Watermark can be applied only to renditions not to original file, hence we want to restrict users from downloading original file of a watermarked image. 

If we deny permissions to download original file, it applies to all files in the DAM , hence restricting users from downloading non-watermarked images as well.

Open to any other solutions to tackle this scenario ...

I am just putting here what was done to tackle this.

restricted Original image and system renditions download.

only project specific renditions ( that is more or less equivalent to original image) made visible

for restricted images -  renditions that were generated were watermarked hence user was able to view and download only watermarked renditions.
