Create new action link somewhat similar to "Sharelink" at action bar in DAM assets pages

Hi Experts,

I have to create a new action link at action bar say "Myaction" for assets pages which should open a dialog similar to ShareLink action dialog. On this dialog will have mutiple input options like text field, multifield and submit action, this submit action need to perform some serverside action like some transformation on selected assets and send a response to a 3rd party (server side logic has already been taken care of).

I am able to create an action link, but not able to open dialog and perform submit action on that. Could somebody let me know step by step how to proceed  or share any reference material for the same ?

PS: Granite UI is not my forte.
