AEM Assets in Cloud Services.
Is it possible to create a Metadata-only record where the asset is added at a later date? Would like to create the record when the design project starts and add the physical asset to that record when the asset is ready.

Hi,
The metadata is a concept linked to an asset, so in reality, you cannot create metadata without the asset. However, since metadata is essentially data, you could potentially implement a process where you store this data (metadata) in a node in another place of AEM, and once the asset is created, you can update the asset's metadata with the previously stored data (the data from the node). You could simply use a workflow to trigger such an update once an asset is uploaded.
