Adobe Asset Link

Hello, when it comes to Adobe Asset link - is it mainly used for image/logo update?

Where would the In-Design file live? Outside AEM and I could update the images from AEM and place them in the In-Design file?

That's what I am getting from the tutorials, but i am not clear on how the whole workflow would look like.

Thanks.

@nicole29 You can use Asset link to collaborate between your Creative Cloud apps and AEM.

Once a connection is established, you don't need to move out of inDesign and can save indd as well jpg, png formats in AEM.

@bimmiso - In-design is a program to be used for design layouts e.g. flyers brochures. Those are native files and you can create pdfs' from the. As in photoshop you create jpeg's, tiffs etc. We want to store our native files in the DAM (In-design files) so they can be used for editing. Those are not images, but In-Design files will link to images

@diksha_mishra - So does that mean i go into the DAM, open an In-design file within the DAM. I am still not clear because while testing and reading the info. the Asset link lets me update images within the file. Where am i storing the In-design files? what if i need to move something to a vendor via brand portal - will it break image links etc. ?
