Using Target Mappings

Hello,

 

I have a custom resource in ACS that has an email field. Those records are not in the profile schema and we would not like to have them there. We would like to set up a new target mapping to be able to email the records in the custom resource. Is this possible with target mappings just like in ACC? So far I'm not having any luck. If not what does target mappings in ACS do?

if you have the records "separate" from a profile, you won't be able to use them for E-Mail sendout.

ACS needs a profile context for the sendout.

 

If you e.g. have it linked to a profile, a target mapping could be used to fetch the mail address from the linked object.

 

But without a profile, it won't work
