Personalized images

I'm looking to have a personalized hero image generate based on a profile trigger.  Is there anyway to personalize images in campaign standard?    

Or is building a bunch of difference dynamic image blocks the only way to achieve this?

Using ACS' capabilities you will have to define multiple dynamic content blocks and then have them work on the basis of profile attributes.

If you wish to have something as a dynamic image, you need to have ACS integrate with Target and use Target features to accomplish it.
