Open time dynamic data from 3rd party API

There are companies such as Evergage and Movable Inc that allow the use of 3rd party API's to be inserted on the client side at the moment of opening the emails. The companies work with whatever ESP we use to get that data inserted into the the emails that the clients view. Does Adobe provide such services to allow our clients to view dynamic real time 3rd party API within the emails based on HTML tags or non-javascript code every time the client opens their email?

Documentation does seem to support your use case to have the movie price be reflected at open time with a server-side implementation of target.

Server Side: implement Target overview

Thanks,

Hi jinchoe,

Yes, we have a product that competes with Movable ink for on open personalization of emails. Its called Adobe Target.

Here is documentation on Integrations between Adobe Target and Adobe Campaign Standard: Integrate Target with Adobe Campaign

Thanks,

Hi Pulkit,

Thanks for the fast reply. After reading that link you sent me it said that one of the limitations was that only images could be used. But when I read on:Flexibility and control with server-side optimization it seems that javascript can be run on your node.js environment. But are we able to for example: client opens our email, calls to our code in your node.js environment, get current movie prices from a 3rd vendor API, and output that current movie price in the client's email. We want the ability to show whatever data from an API at open-time.

Is it possible to see a demo of this?

Hi jinchoe

To request assistance, along with a deep-dive discovery of your use case and how Adobe can support it, you will need to speak to your Customer Success Manager. If you don't know who that is, talk to the internal business owner at your company.

Thanks,
